Can't Touch This

Feb. 27th, 2009 at 05:05 pm

Yesterday was super busy. I had class, tutorial, did some work and took a twenty minute nap, went to my second tutorial rather late (but I only had one question), and then left that early to boogie on over to the underground. I met up with Paul at Waterloo station, and we went and caught up in Wagamama's (I had the apple and lime juice, my favorite! And the Wagamama Ramen, I honestly don't know what was in it. I was talking to my food, asking it what it was, and then would eat it and still not know).

We walked from there down to Tower Bridge, since I forgot which stop was near Tower Bridge and wanted to find this certain place to record part of my internship video. It was really far. And then I was rapping and dancing, with tourists looking befuddled and street cleaners standing behind Paul (who had my camera) and laughing. But it's okay, it was really fun, and I get to do more of that tomorrow! Paul was a good sport for being associated with me.

I made it back to campus just in time to have to run from my room across campus to lend a friend a calculator for a midterm, and then book it all the way back across to meet up with Caitlin, hit up the ATM, and hope back on the Tube. After grabbing tickets for a show, we had a romantic snack at Burger King (shakes and chicken bites and fries). We ended up going to see Sunset Boulevard, which had good music and looked really cool, though we thought the amount of upstaging that occurred was a little strange... and it was definitely a weird musical. Also, the plot at the beginning was essentially nonexistant, there was way too much introduction and I had no idea where the show was going to go. Though I think when I get older, I should be crazy and melodramatic like Norma, because she was ridiculous. She reminded me of Madame. And the lead guy looked a lot like Kevin H.

The two of us went back to campus and booked tickets for Romeo and Juliet at the Globe for us and the rest of our friends- our seats should be pretty good. I'm really excited! That will be in May.
So far today, I got up, took a shower, took a half hour nap, went to class, took a nap for an hour and a half, put a pizza in the oven, took a nap for the ten minutes it cooked, went to lecture, came to the computer lab so I wouldn't nap again, had another lecture, and am back in the library. Actuarial got exciting again today- some guy came into the room halfway through lecture laughing, sat down at the back, and a half a minute later someone held their phone through the door with the ringtone going off, ran away, then came back two minutes later and yelled something indescernible into the room, and ran off again. Our professor laughed it off, so some of the class giggled a bit, but then the guy who came in laughing stood up, and storming indignantly down the stairs yelled, 'That was not funny! It was very disrespectful, Miss,' while lighting up a cigarette.
